Contemporary Chinese architecture

What represents Chinese contemporary architecture?

We here a lot about MAD and the leading architect Ma Yang Song. Visually, I find his works pretty "cool."

Wang Shu works closely with the craftsmen and often integrates recycled materials. They are more sensual and tactile in comparison

The effects of those two types of approaches to architecture resulted in two different experiences as well. Looking at their works make me wonder whether architects create inhabitable spaces or "cool" looking ones.
