round house, by Bruce Goff, an American architect who is known for his organic and eclectic buildings.

In architecture, straight lines prevail and the architects who use curves seem to be in the margin. The so called organic architecture is often seen as something hippy and unconventional.

plan for Bavenger house looks like nature grown.

In fact, growth seems to be the main focus in organic design. However, can you grow houses out of artificial material, like bricks, steel and iron?

Again, the intentions of the design are more focused on the relationship of the building to the environment.

How do we build in response to the environment is the next question.

What I like about this house is the central skylight. Its centrality and the opening of the roof is very inspiring. The light fills the space with life and breaks through isolation like a warm hand.
